  • Meteorology, Atmospheric or Oceanic Sciences with a strong Quantitative bias - includes PhDs in those disciplines or Masters degrees in Environmental Applied Mathematics or Physics where a major component included the manipulation of large weather datasets
  • Programming proficiency with at least one major programming or scripting language (e.g. C++, Java, Python)
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work well with colleagues across multiple regions
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Experience: 0-2 years

  • Research, maintain and develop our various weather data streams and help channel them to trading applications
  • Analyze large weather data sets using advanced statistical methods to improve state-of-the-art weather forecasts for trading applications
  • Generate realistic weather scenarios to support timely decisions making
  • Model the weather-to-power relationship across various geographies and various variables
