Amentum is seeking a Mid-level Strategic Debriefer to support an upcoming Department of Energy (DOE) contract. This person will independently plan and execute collection operations in support of DOE and draft the reporting generated from operations in accordance with all relevant policy, regulations, and laws. Qualified candidates must have at least one tour conducting overt HUMINT collection, ideally on intelligence issues central to mission such as advanced science and technology, commercial or military nuclear technology, WMDs, energy security, and cyber security.
This position is located in the Washington, DC metro area. Specific duties and functions include, but are not limited to:
Essential Duties:
- Plans and executes intelligence briefings of overt HUMINT sources directly responding to assigned collection requirements with minimal oversight.
- Drafts high-quality intelligence reports in a timely fashion requiring minimal editing.
- Provides timely responses to consumer requests for information (RFI), source directed requirements (SDR’s), collection management taskers, etc.
- Provides mentorship and guidance to less experienced strategic debriefers on essential competencies.
- Maintains detailed operational records to assist in source validation processes.
- Adheres to all applicable U.S. HUMINT collection regulations, policies, laws, and DOE Policies and Procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must possess a U.S government Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility (TS SCI). A Q clearance is highly desired.
- Must have an associate’s degree from an accredited university or college preferably in a field related to geopolitical/national security studies, science, or engineering. A bachelor’s degree is desired. Additional years of experience may be substituted for degree requirements.
- Must have formal HUMINT collection training from at least one (1) of the following courses (or equivalent): The defense Strategic Debriefing Course (DSDC); Advanced Military Source Operations Course (AMSOC); Advanced Source Operations Course (ASOC);Defense Advanced tradecraft (DATC); Joint Military Attache School (JMAS); Advanced Special Operations Technique Course (ASOTC); Advanced Human Intelligence Operations Course (AHOC); Advanced CI Collection Course (SCICC); Field Tradecraft Course (FTC); or any other official HUMINT training course providing certification to MSOC 3 or higher.
- Must possess a minimum of ten (10) years of experience in executing human intelligence (HUMINT) collection and generating raw intelligence reporting.
- Must have demonstrated evidence of excellent, strategic-level debriefing and intelligence reporting writing skills.
- Must be able to deal effectively with individuals at all levels often under the pressure of fast breaking, ambiguous situations.
