Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years of effective and successful management experience in a casino and/or card room is required.
  • The candidate must have good project management skills, provide strong leadership and direction, prioritize project tasks, meet project deadlines, and effectively communicate with personnel, co-workers, and subordinates.
  • The candidate must be able to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, in a diverse range of audiences and settings.
  • The candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Suite and able to adapt to additional internal applications.

  • The candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Gardena Police Department Work Permit.
  • The candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a State of California Key Employee License.
  • The candidate must have visual acuity for 8–10 hours of computer viewing.
  • The candidate must be able to work in an enclosed and busy area.
  • The candidate must be able to safely lift a minimum of 12 pounds.
  • The candidate must be able to concentrate in an intense, fast-paced environment with numerous distractions.
  • The candidate must be at least 21 years of age.
Responsibilities
  • Support the Cage Manager at the casino's Cage, Countroom, and Card Control Departments.
  • Support the Cage Manager in formulating and implementing the Cage's policies and procedures for the proper handling of cash, chips, and negotiable instruments.
  • Interact with Accounting on audits of the Cage, Countroom, and Card Control Departments.
  • Support the Cage Manager with ordering gaming chips when requested and card control decks when needed.
  • Participate in training and development of staff skills through coaching and mentoring.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and attitude.
  • Adhere to all gaming laws and guidelines.
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned by the Controller and Vice President and General Manager.
Desired Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Ability to speak a second language is preferred.
