AWS Data Engineer

• Hands on Senior DevOps Engineer with experience of working within high performance development teams
• Experience implementing Amazon well architected frameworks, serverless solutions and improving existing platforms using AWS technologies with Agile delivery methods
• Experience of developing solutions with Python 3
• Experience working in the Data domain, covering the full data pipeline from ingestion, mastering, management and consumption/distribution of large datasets
• Financial Services expertise preferred working
• Experience with No-SQL and Relational databases

Enter key behaviours and skills required to be successful in the role:

• Education & Work experience:
  • 5+ years of DevOps engineer experience within the Financial Services and Data domains
  • Bachelor’s Degree in MIS, Computer Science, or IT related field or equivalent IT related experience.

• IT Skills
  • Deep experience of DevOps solutions and practises
  • Implementation of infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like CloudFormation or Terraform, usage of CI/CD pipelines like GitLab for efficient and automated test and deployment processes
  • Familiar with AWS solutions incl. IAM, Step Functions, Glue, Lambda, RDS, (e.g. DynamoDB, Aurora Postgres), SQS, API Gateway, Athena
  • Good experience of Python
  • Familiar with container technologies

  • An enthusiastic advocate of high-quality solutions
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
