Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 10 years of software development experience building production applications, with strong experience in Java.
  • At least 4 years of experience working with highly scalable software systems.
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming design principles, data structures, and object-oriented design.
  • Knowledge of API best practices and experience developing REST or GraphQL services.
  • Comfort writing, analyzing, and troubleshooting SQL, with experience in relational database design and development.
  • Expert knowledge of software quality and testing practices, including unit, integration, API, and front-end testing.
  • At least 2 years of experience with React and modern front-end application development.
  • Strong TypeScript and JavaScript fundamentals, including using TypeScript to establish maintainable, reusable contracts and clear boundaries across components, APIs, and application layers.
  • Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, browser fundamentals, and accessibility beyond simply working within a React framework.
  • Experience building reusable React components and working within established front-end architectures and data-flow patterns.
  • Ability to debug and troubleshoot front-end issues, including rendering, network, state-management, and browser-related problems.
  • Experience leveraging artificial intelligence tooling to accelerate software development.
Responsibilities
  • Design and build the API and serving layer that powers data-intensive product experiences, using REST and/or GraphQL APIs to efficiently expose data, insights, and analytics to applications.
  • Develop highly scalable backend services using Java and Kotlin, with a focus on API-first architecture, performance, reliability, and extensibility.
  • Build new data-driven product experiences that transform large volumes of operational and analytical data into actionable insights, scoring, dashboards, and customer workflows.
  • Design and optimize data access patterns across APIs, relational databases, caching layers, and analytical data sources to support enterprise-scale workloads.
  • Build and maintain React and TypeScript user experiences, including dashboards, forms, workflows, status indicators, and drill-down experiences, while contributing to reusable components and established frontend architecture and data-flow patterns.
  • Establish clear and maintainable contracts and boundaries between frontend applications, APIs, and backend services.
  • Participate in architecture and design reviews as new products progress from early-stage development through general availability and enterprise scale.
  • Identify and solve performance and scalability bottlenecks across backend services, APIs, databases, data access patterns, and frontend applications.
  • Troubleshoot complex production issues across the full technical stack using logs, metrics, traces, query analysis, browser debugging, and other observability tools.
  • Instrument frontend applications with appropriate observability and telemetry to understand errors, performance, and customer experience in production.
  • Leverage artificial intelligence-assisted development tools and techniques to improve engineering productivity and accelerate product development.
  • Participate in code reviews, document technical decisions and processes, and contribute to cross-team engineering initiatives.
  • Take ownership of features end-to-end, from architecture and implementation through testing, deployment, monitoring, and production troubleshooting.
Desired Qualifications

  • gRPC experience is a plus.

Summit Partners retains NinjaOne stake with $625m continuation vehicle

Summit Partners is transferring part of its investment in NinjaOne to a continuation vehicle, raising $625m in a transaction led by Lead Edge Capital and Hamilton Lane. The deal comprises $500m for the continuation vehicle and $125m in uncalled commitments for future development. The vehicle will hold approximately half of Summit Partners' stake in NinjaOne, which provides cloud-based IT endpoint management solutions. Existing investors could sell their stake, transfer exposure to the new vehicle, or combine both options. NinjaOne's valuation has surged from $5bn in February 2025 to $12.3bn by June, following a $400m Series C funding extension.
