Requirements
  • Proficiency with current Windows operating systems.
  • Experience with Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, Microsoft 365 multifactor authentication, and BitLocker.
  • Experience administering and troubleshooting Microsoft 365 cloud applications, including Exchange Online, OneDrive, Teams, and SharePoint.
  • Experience with PowerShell scripting.
  • Knowledge and experience supporting, troubleshooting, and configuring PC hardware and peripherals.
  • At least four years of experience in a technical support or help desk role.
  • Experience providing end-user desktop support, mobile device support, email support, and phone support.
  • An A+ or Network+ certificate is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required due to the location of the work.
  • The candidate must successfully pass a background check.
  • The candidate must demonstrate critical thinking, active listening, complex problem solving, coordination, instruction, judgment, decision making, monitoring, oral and written comprehension and expression, problem sensitivity, deductive and inductive reasoning, information organization, attention to detail, and prioritization.
  • The candidate must be able to sit or stand for prolonged periods, lift objects up to 50 pounds, distinguish colors, travel frequently from the primary workplace, meet quick-turnaround deadlines, and reach or relocate items above shoulder level.
Responsibilities
  • Serve as the initial contact for reported technical issues and questions concerning software, hardware, and network issues.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues and escalate issues to appropriate resources when necessary.
  • Document assistance requests in the ticket management system and track incidents through resolution or escalation.
  • Prioritize work and manage multiple tasks using sound judgment.
  • Provide operational technical support to clients on-site and remotely for company-managed equipment.
  • Manage ongoing maintenance and deployment of new hardware and software throughout the device life cycle.
  • Monitor and update service requests and incidents in the IT service management tool.
  • Provide on-site service support, installation, and configuration for PCs, smart devices, telephony, and network solutions.
  • Act as an escalation point for Tier 1 personnel on application- and hardware-related inquiries, including Microsoft Office and Windows operating system issues.
  • Image desktop and laptop computers.
  • Set up, configure, and troubleshoot video conferences for internal and external meetings.
  • Prepare workstations, including setting up and configuring laptops and desktops.
  • Interface with hardware vendors to facilitate repair and installation.
  • Evaluate opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness when resolving issues.
  • Manage small projects as needed and communicate technical issues and project execution to IT managers and network/server engineers.
Desired Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred, with four years of related experience; degree requirements may be substituted for experience on a year-to-year basis.
  • Knowledge of System Center Configuration Manager and Azure Intune is a plus.
