We are seeking a dynamic Sr. Manager, Trading Platforms Marketing to own the development of targeted marketing strategies and the go-to-market strategy – from journey to conversion – for key product offerings.
This role combines deep customer insights, data-driven marketing strategies, and product expertise to ensure Schwab’s trading platforms appeal to a range of trading audiences – all in the name of maximizing Schwab’s relevance among active traders. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to build compelling campaigns to achieve product goals, while driving growth for the trader segment at large.
Responsibilities:
- Audience Insights & Trends:
- Analyze audience(s) of active traders and self-directed investors in order to identify key insights for marketing activation.
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative research to understand customer pain points, motivations and unique needs – particularly as it pertains to experiences with trading platforms.
- Monitor trends to anticipate needs and refine strategies.
- Identify opportunities to deepen relationships with trader clients.
- Go-to-market Strategy:
- Own the end-to-end go-to-market strategy for Schwab’s trading platforms – including thinkorswim and trading experiences on Schwab.com and Schwab Mobile – ensuring alignment with segment priorities.
- Develop and refine platform positioning and messaging designed to resonate with target segments.
- Create marketing plans for new product launches and/or feature updates.
- Partner with the Product team to ensure alignment between product features and audience expectations.
- Collaborate with partners in Retail Acquisition to develop acquisition campaigns featuring trading platforms.
- Campaign Management:
- Design and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns tailored to active traders and self-directed investors.
- Author compelling strategy briefs for internal and external partners in order to develop dynamic, breakthrough creative campaigns.
- Partner with colleagues in Trader Marketing to ensure plans connect with other segment experiences, all while looking through clients’ eyes.
- Ensure consistent and cohesive messaging across all customer touchpoints.
- Client Engagement:
- Create experiences and campaigns that help clients choose the trading platform right for their needs.
- Leverage trading platforms to deepen client relationships.
- Nurture clients through their adoption of trading platforms, highlighting features of interest and connecting them with Trader Sales and Service as necessary.
- Partner with Lead Management to encourage trial of thinkorswim through Guest Pass, the tool that offers prospects 30 days of access. Also, create experiences to encourage new account conversion and to help familiarize the new client with the rest of what Schwab offers.
- Performance Measurement:
- Track, analyze, and report on the success of segment-focused campaigns.
- Implement iterative improvements to marketing campaigns based on data-driven insights.
- Provide senior leadership with insights and recommendations based on campaign performance.
- Competitive Intelligence:
- Lead competitive intelligence efforts to evaluate industry trends and identify opportunities for product and market differentiation.
- Monitor market trends and competitive activity to identify and refine marketing strategies.
- Leadership & Collaboration:
- Collaborate with peers and senior leaders to align marketing strategies with company and Marketing goals.
- Act as a trusted advisor to leadership, providing strategic recommendations for segment and product growth.
- Act as the bridge between Marketing and Platforms Product Management.
- Design and deliver high-impact field enablement tools, such as product presentations, competitive overviews, and case studies.
