About the role
Chime is looking for a Product Intern to join our Risk & Support Product Team. You will gain valuable professional experience working alongside very seasoned PM’s and Engineer’s who are passionate about solving complex member needs and helping our members achieve financial peace of mind. This is an exciting opportunity to learn while playing a role in a critical initiative at Chime.
This role is structured as a 3 month engagement. The starting hourly rate offered for this role and target level of experience will begin at $29 and up to $42. The actual base salary offered may be higher, depending on your location, skills, qualifications, and experience.
In this role, you can expect to
- Identify member and business needs and build hypotheses backed with robust market research and analytical data to define the vision of the product or service.
- Propose a set of features and initiative that will help realize the vision keeping constraints in mind in terms of timing , resourcing etc.
- Drive the execution of prototypes, POC’s that help validate the hypotheses and build conviction in the vision partnering closely with engineering and other stakeholders
- Be hands-on with data tools and be able to self-serve your needs for building hypotheses. Comfort with leveraging analytics / SAS products and SQL technology will be a big plus.
- You will be expected to have very strong problem solving skills & communications through which you will be responsible for evangelizing ideas and creating buy-in internally and externally within the organization.
To thrive in this role, you:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business with an emphasis in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science or related field of study from an accredited college or university
- Strong organizational, analytical, interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
- Creative thinker and self starter with a passion for consumer FinTech
- Are flexible and enjoy doing whatever it takes to execute on complex projects
- Have a low ego and are comfortable working directly well with a wide range of stakeholders
