  • BA/BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education or experience
  • 3-7 years of experience managing and supporting Windows environment, which include the following skill sets/systems/applications: Active Directory architecture; Microsoft Clustering; Microsoft Encryption; File & Print Management; IIS, FTP and web technologies; Virtual Infrastructure (VMware) 3.0/3.5/4.0; System monitoring tools such as EMC Ionix and Microsoft System Center; Antivirus Protection; System Backup/Restore procedures; Administrative Scripting using VB, Powershell or CLI; Citrix & Remote access administration; Email and Data Archiving; Red Hat Linux knowledge/certification; Exchange architecture/support; Mail architecture related to perimeter security, anti-spam, routing, mailbox failover and archiving technologies (IronMail/Symantec Enterprise Vault); IPAM – BlueCat Networks; Blackberry 4.x/5.x support; SharePoint architecture and administration; and Microsoft Windows 2000, 2003, 2008 and 2012
  • 3-7 years of experience configuring and managing Storage Subsystems
  • Knowledge of standard System Administration tools and practices
  • Knowledge of industry and government security standards and practices
  • Strong administration skills
  • Strong communication skills (written and oral)
  • Certification in System or Data Management. Other preferred certifications include: Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer certification; and ITIL v3 Foundation Level certification
Responsibilities
  • Perform system management, Configuration Management, deep troubleshooting, preventative and corrective Maintenance, Performance Monitoring, and enhancement
  • Provide comprehensive Windows systems management
  • Execute tests of new Hardware and Software
  • Plan, and perform the requirements for off-hour systems Maintenance work
  • Oversee Change Management activities on the supported systems
  • Implement, monitor, and support security controls and capabilities in operating systems, layered products, and specialty Software to achieve security goals
  • Develop operations procedures, such as backups, recovery processes, and queue management
  • Install and configure Windows systems
  • Assist business users and systems engineers with the setup, installation, and testing of their Applications
  • Interface with users and systems engineers in order to resolve technical and user Problems
