Requirements
  • Have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Biology, Physics or Chemistry.
  • Possess or be willing to obtain training in spectroscopy and multivariate statistical methods.
  • Have strong writing skills and can present data and results well in a laboratory meeting setting.
Responsibilities
  • Provide, under direct supervision, support for specified research projects; collect, assess, and communicate data/results.
  • Assist in general laboratory operation and inventory.
  • Under supervision, run experiments, assays, and record results.
  • Follow experimental protocols and handle tissue samples per protocol (may include tissue culture, cell culture). Record, compile, interpret, and communicate data/ results effectively.
  • Read and follow all equipment manuals.
  • Maintain equipment according to manufacturer and University guidelines.
  • Maintain inventories.
  • Prepare reagents.
  • Clean equipment.
  • Work effectively in a team of interdisciplinary researchers.
