What you’ll do:
- You will be managing Royalty Audits for our Artists – Inbound / Outbound & Internal
- You will be the point of contact for all royalty audits.
- You will liaise and work with internal parties such as Legal & Business Affairs and our Record Labels regarding the findings and progress of royalty audits, sharing rebuttals with business prior to submission.
- Negotiate findings and rebuttals through constant communications, in person and in writing with all parties involved in the audits.
- You will liaise with the Global Finance Shared Service based in New York and Mexico, who will gather information for audits.
- Understand the flow of sales data from our service providers right through to the royalty system and beyond to the Artist Portal statements
- Oversee outbound audits; auditing third parties and artist passive rights and licensing.
- You will assist with User Acceptance Training for systems and process, and development of various Royalty Projects
- Assist Senior Royalty Director in annual budget planning
Who you are:
- Recorded music or music publishing industry experience – Royalties specific
- Royalty audit experience
- Significant experience of interpreting artist and producer contracts, negotiating with auditors, financial accountancy and collating worldwide income.
- Experience using SAP, Power BI, Excel, internal and external royalty portals and income sales & repertoire systems
- Excellent verbal & written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work closely with senior directors.
- Proactive approach to working.
- Rigorous eye for detail and diligent approach.
- Ability to work as a team as well as working independently.
