  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited medical school.
  • Completion of an accredited residency program in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
  • Board-eligible or board-certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain unrestricted state medical licensure.
  • DEA registration or eligibility.
  • Strong inpatient clinical judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple patients in a fast-paced hospital environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Commitment to evidence-based, high-quality patient care.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout hospital units.
  • Manual dexterity for bedside assessments and procedures as required.
  • Visual and auditory acuity sufficient for patient assessment.
  • Must maintain state certification and/or licensure.
  • Licensed MD/DO in North Dakota and Minnesota.
Responsibilities
  • Provide direct inpatient medical care to hospitalized patients.
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic medical conditions.
  • Manage admissions, daily patient care, and discharge planning.
  • Coordinate care with consulting specialists, nursing staff, and ancillary services.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and care coordination activities.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans.
  • Respond to changes in patient condition, including emergencies and rapid response events.
  • Communicate with patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
  • Ensure safe transitions of care and appropriate follow-up.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and complete clinical documentation.
  • Participate in quality improvement, patient safety, and utilization initiatives.
  • Supervise and collaborate with advanced practice providers, residents, or medical students as applicable.
  • Comply with regulatory, accreditation, and professional standards.
