Requirements
  • At least 5 years’ experience in analysing dry bulk freight markets.
  • A good understanding of global commodity trade flows, freight arbitrage calculations, key commercial players and fundamental supply and demand drivers for freight markets.
  • Strong track record of producing insightful written analysis.
  • Experience of presenting to varied audiences.
  • Fluent in English and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High competency in using Excel.
  • Experience of using SQL, Python, R or Tableau is beneficial.
Responsibilities
  • Creating data-driven stories that empower clients in their industries.
  • Producing independent analyses of current and projected trends within the dry bulk freight markets.
  • Communicating analyses through various channels such as regular written reports, presentations, webinars, and client meetings.
  • Collaborating with key stakeholders including the Head of Freight, Head of Major Bulks, and Head of Ags.
  • Expanding a robust network within the industry.
  • Working closely with Kpler engineers, analysts, and product owners to enhance freight market data and tools.
  • Aiding sales and customer success teams in articulating the value of Kpler research.
