Requirements
  • Progress toward a bachelor's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, economics, engineering, or another related field.
  • Currently enrolled as a student with an expected graduation date in Fall 2027 or Spring 2028.
  • A minimum preferred GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
  • A commitment to achieving a Society of Actuaries designation.
  • Legal work authorization in the United States on a permanent and ongoing basis without the need for sponsorship now or in the future.
Responsibilities
  • Perform responsibilities comparable to full-time analysts with one-to-one support from experienced colleagues.
  • Complete comprehensive analysis of health care data using spreadsheet and database management software.
  • Assist in developing client communications, proposals, reports, spreadsheets, and presentations.
  • Perform basic cost projections using client cost and enrollment data with Marsh's valuation model.
  • Price medical and prescription drug plan designs using proprietary Marsh tools.
  • Assist in developing customized pricing through alternate scenario modeling of plan designs, programs, and employee contributions to meet employers' financial targets.
  • Develop basic underwriting and actuarial skills while building awareness of health care plan design, cost factors, and industry products, services, and tools.
  • Work in a fast-paced consulting environment with colleagues across all organizational levels.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Advanced programming skills such as R, Python, SAS, and SQL.
  • Knowledge of data analysis, project management, and presentation design.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Intellectual curiosity and willingness to develop new skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
