Requirements
  • High School diploma or G.E.D.
  • One year of relevant work experience
  • Must be able to complete Maine Criminal Justice Academy dispatch training Certified Terminal Operator & Emergency Telecommunicator within one year from date of hire
  • Must complete CPR/First Aid/AED certification within one year from date of hire
  • Valid Class C Maine driver’s license
Responsibilities
  • Engage in community policing and problem-solving programs to improve the safety culture on campus.
  • Work occasional relief shifts in the communications center (dispatch) in addition to routine safety and security duties on the University campuses.
  • Perform routine safety and security duties on the University campuses.
  • Maintain a close working relationship with the campus community.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in law enforcement or campus safety operations
  • Experience with dispatch operations or emergency communications
  • Ability to work a fixed shift schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • CPR/First Aid/AED certification
