Requirements
  • 5+ years of sales experience with a semiconductor organization. Familiarity in RF Semiconductors, Power Semiconductors, Microprocessors and Data Converters preferred.
  • Demonstrated problem solving and negotiation skills.
  • Experience with semiconductor sales in the aerospace and defense industry
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent formal presentation skills before both small and large groups.
  • Experience managing large territories and diverse product offerings.
  • Coaching/mentoring experience with less senior sales staff.
  • A demonstrable capacity to keep abreast of new technology trends, association needs and possible application to real world projects.
Responsibilities
  • Research customer needs and develop application of products and services in an effective manner.
  • Determine market strategies and goals for each product and service.
  • Obtain and coordinate data and information from staff and member groups.
  • Research and develop contacts of current and potential customers.
  • Do market research to determine customer needs and provide information to other staff.
  • Evaluate product and service marketability in terms of customers’ technical needs.
  • Follow up on sales leads and develop new leads.
  • Maintain up-to-date understanding of industry trends and technical developments that effect target markets.
  • Establish and maintain industry contacts that lead to sales.
  • Work with marketing, sales support and staff to establish a communication path with the customer to ensure sales opportunities for products and services.
  • Develop and deliver sales presentations and close sales in a professional and effective manner.
  • Developing sales and marketing proposals for customers on technical products and services.
  • Making presentations to users.
  • Developing technical presentations and workshops.
  • Maintaining up-to-date awareness of activities, industry trends and government regulations.
  • Making regular sales calls to develop relationships and follow up on leads.
  • Acting to close deals and finalize contracts.

  • Monitoring, analyzing, and communicating sales data, via contact management software, to contribute to product/service planning.
  • Develop and maintain communications in a cooperative and professional manner with all levels of staff and customers.
  • Communicating openly, honestly and constructively.
  • Treating all employees and customers with dignity, respect and courtesy.
  • Taking responsibility for and making every effort to resolve communication, trust and respect concerns and problems.
  • Asking for information needed to perform job responsibilities.
  • Work closely with and set goals for Manufacturers Representatives.
  • Work closely with and train franchised distributor network.
  • Performs other job-related duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time.
