  • B.S. degree in scientific field
  • 0-5 years’ experience in process engineering or quality control manufacturing environment or relevant Co-op experience
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact professionally with external partners, suppliers, customers, and colleagues at all levels of the organization
  • Strong teamwork, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Effective problem-solving skills and process/product relationship knowledge
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office® Suite and ability to become proficient in internal software systems
  • Attention to detail, data accuracy
Responsibilities
  • Design tooling using Solidworks to meet product specifications that will be used to construct the tire
  • Create specifications to be used in the manufacturing process
  • Conduct tests to ensure tooling is creating quality products for production
  • Study potential improvements for process performance
  • Monitor quality results to ensure products are performing as expected
  • Study and industrialize new materials for use in the production process
  • Work with other departments to resolve quality issues
  • Lead/Participate in quality planning for products, materials, processes, and methods
  • Draw logical conclusions based on in depth analysis of information
  • Recognize causes and consequences of actions and events that are not likely apparent
  • Anticipate obstacles considering next steps
  • Persuade by appealing to reason using data, facts and examples
Desired Qualifications
  • Familiarity with quality protocols and understanding of ISO requirements is preferred
  • Knowledge of SolidWorks design software is preferred, but not required
