Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Architecture, Architectural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Building Engineering, Construction Technology, or a related discipline
  • Master’s degree in Facade Engineering, Building Envelope Design, or related field will be an advantage
  • 2-8 years of experience in façade design, architectural drafting, building envelope design, or construction documentation
  • Experience working on commercial, residential, mixed-use, hospitality, healthcare, or high-rise projects
  • Experience coordinating with architects, consultants, contractors, and multidisciplinary design teams
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory)
  • Knowledge of Revit/BIM tools is preferred
Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed 2D facade drawings, tender documentation, shop drawings, and construction documentation using AutoCAD
  • Develop 2D and 3D facade models and technical details utilizing AutoCAD, Rhino, SketchUp Pro, and other relevant design software
  • Support facade design development and documentation across projects in accordance with project requirements and design standards
  • Produce facade details, sections, elevations, and construction drawings for building envelope systems
  • Assist engineers and project teams with technical sketches, design presentations, and graphical outputs
  • Review contractor shop drawings and provide design comments and technical recommendations
  • Monitor and coordinate design outputs across multiple project teams to ensure consistency and quality standards
  • Deliver assigned projects efficiently while maintaining technical excellence, budget compliance, and client satisfaction
  • Assist in project planning and resource allocation to achieve project milestones
  • Understand project budgets, schedules, and deliverables to ensure effective project execution
  • Support preparation of technical proposals, fee submissions, and business development activities
  • Ensure design deliverables are completed within agreed timelines and project budgets
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve project objectives and successful project outcomes
  • Liaise with architects, consultants, contractors, clients, and internal project teams throughout project lifecycles
  • Participate in client meetings and design coordination workshops
  • Understand client requirements and contribute to delivering practical and innovative facade design solutions
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Support the delivery of high-quality service that promotes client satisfaction and repeat business opportunities
  • Maintain a strong understanding of facade systems, architectural design principles, construction methodologies, and industry best practices
  • Ensure all drawings and documentation comply with applicable building codes, standards, regulations, and company procedures
  • Participate in technical reviews and quality assurance processes
  • Maintain project documentation in accordance with company Quality Management Systems (QMS)
  • Identify potential design risks and proactively implement corrective actions
  • Seek guidance when faced with technical challenges beyond current competency levels
  • Stay informed on emerging facade technologies, materials, software, and industry trends
  • Contribute to the development of design standards, templates, systems, and best practices
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, productivity, and delivery processes
  • Support digital design and BIM initiatives where applicable
  • Promote a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Support the development and training of junior designers and team members
  • Participate in technical knowledge-sharing sessions and workshops
  • Contribute to the preparation and enhancement of technical guidance documents and design resources
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including Architecture, Structural Engineering, Building Physics, Acoustics, Lighting, BMU, and Sustainability disciplines
  • Actively pursue professional development opportunities and technical training
  • Establish and work towards individual development and career growth objectives
Desired Qualifications
