Requirements
  • 6+ years of copywriting & editing experience
  • 4 years of people management experience
  • 2+ years of freelance/contract coordination
  • 2+ years of B2B SaaS Marketing experience
  • 2+ years of experience in eCommerce industry
  • Experience as a leader and practitioner: editing, copywriting, content strategy, advertising, storytelling for video and websites, scriptwriting, market research, information architecture, and SEO. Experience with press & PR a “plus” but not required
  • Experience in creative direction with cross-functional creative teams: visual design, UX/web design, motion/video etc
  • Experience managing expectations of and presenting to internal and external stakeholders
  • Exceptional presentation, communication, and organizational skills
  • Superior attention to detail and a systems mindset, with an interest in defining and improving operational processes
  • Strong communication skills, record of successful collaboration with cross-functional and distributed teams
  • Project management skills with experience gaining consensus and driving deliverables with individuals inside and outside the organization
  • Works well under pressure, adapts to change quickly and can pivot to accommodate last-minute changes and evolving needs

Responsibilities
  • Lead, inspire, and motivate a creative team: Take a “hands-on,” “lead from the front,” “player/coach” approach to leadership with Content Marketers, Copywriters, Designers and Freelance Creatives, in their day-to-day
  • Develop and mentor the creative team: Maintain and nurture relationships with the entire creative team. Directly manage and oversee the content team, and lead the design org through a Director of Brand Design that reports to you. Make Tapcart a great place to work for these teams, facilitate actionable growth & development plans for each individual, and support executing on those plans as relevant
  • Understand your audience: Have a deep understanding of our industry and ideal customer profile. Execute a strategy to become more deeply aware of our prospects' needs, desires, challenges, and day-to-day responsibilities and workflows, and create systems to scale that education across your team, and into the content it produces. Our creatives need to understand the audience inside & out
  • Collaboratively lead brand + content strategy & execution: Work with VP Growth & other relevant stakeholders to develop a brand & content strategy that supports and extends marketing initiatives, both short- and long-term. Create a strategy for delivering highly relevant and differentiated content that our audience wants to consume and receives great value from. Drive the tactical execution of that strategy and distribute Tapcart Story to our market at scale with an optimally effective channel strategy though all appropriate/relevant formats
  • Own and execute the Tapcart brand content calendar: Cohesively take our message to market by working with with cross-functional teams (Exec, Brand, Demand, Product, Partner, CS & People etc) to ensure content development aligns with strategic objectives for each target segment
  • Resource & Capacity Planning: Plan and optimize team bandwidth across a robust slate of initiatives, ensuring adequate coverage and maximum impact. Contribute to long range team planning and forecasting, anticipating roadblocks and volume spikes
  • Establish Tapcart as a Thought Leader: Leverage the subject matter expertise of clients, partners, and Tapcart employees to elevate Tapcart's standing in the ecommerce space and expand its share of voice
  • Manage Content Marketing Production Velocity: Work with both internal and external resources such as freelancers and agencies to drive and scale the production of compelling content
  • Focus on impact & outcomes: Quantitatively and qualitatively monitor, measure and assess the impact of our content strategy as well as the performance of individual assets. Adjust and refine your approach, resource allocation and prioritization in response as needed. Proactively identify opportunities to improve how we produce, share, utilize, traffic and measure promotional assets at Tapcart
  • Collaboratively develop brand-centered creative processes: Including resources, guidelines, and templates that empower the organization to create beautiful and thoughtful brand and consumer executions
  • Act as the vanguard of the Tapcart Brand: Operationalize the use of the Tapcart Brand Guideline (Strategic narrative, messaging pillars, voice/tone, brand aesthetic) and create systems & processes that ensure adherence to that guideline with materials that face externally optimizing for cohesion and consistency
  • Project manage content marketing initiatives: Partner with VP Growth, Design, Demand, Partner, Product, Customer & Community and other departments as needed to elevate our creative project management functions with an emphasis on operationalizing flexible processes and structure, while also driving accountability around deadlines and process improvement
