Requirements
  • 10 years of experience with network, security, and vulnerability analysis
  • Experience with specifications, protocols, deployments, security, and vulnerability assessments of 4G, LTE, and 5G systems
  • Experience with cyber defense policies, audits of networks, operating systems, applications, databases and other information system components and communicating findings and mitigations to stakeholders
  • Knowledge of telecommunication protocols, architecture, and processes, including air interface protocols
  • Knowledge of security architecture and design, including firewalls, Intrusion Detection Systems, Virtual Private Networking, and virus and malware protection technologies
  • Knowledge of next generation networking solutions such as Software Defined Networking (SDN), Network Function Virtualization (NFV), Multi-Access Edge Computing (MEC), and network slicing
  • Knowledge of 5G use cases such as Augmented Reality/Virtual Reality (AR/VR), smart warehouses, and Vehicle to everything (V2X)
  • Ability to perform information system security vulnerability scanning to discover and analyze vulnerabilities to support the characterization of risk to networks, operating systems, applications, databases, and other information system components
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or Information Technology or 15 years of experience with vulnerability assessment in lieu of a degree
  • Experience with programming and scripting in languages, including C, C++, Java, Python, Perl, or bash
  • Experience with network security and vulnerability analysis tools, including Wireshark and tcpdump, Nmap, Nessus, OpenVAS, or Metasploit
  • Experience with cloud technologies, including Docker, Kubernetes, OpenStack, virtualization, or software-defined networking
  • Experience with Linux OS
  • Experience with creating proof of concepts to demonstrate security weaknesses
  • Knowledge of penetration testing methodologies, including NIST SP 800-115, STRIDE, and MITRE ATT&CK
Responsibilities
  • Support Booz Allen’s cutting-edge cloud-native 5G network with ongoing penetration research, data science efforts, virtual and augmented reality programs, and much more
  • Probe targets using the latest network-based analysis tools while leveraging innate curiosity and technical expertise to select attack vectors and match attack vectors to tools, capabilities, and mission intent
  • Develop offensive cyber operations that are essential to providing national security for today and tomorrow
