Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in Government Contracting, ideally in an Acquisition field
  • Candidate should have work experience primarily in data visualization/data analytics and system administration, and any helpdesk experience within the GovCon field is an added plus
  • Solid working knowledge in at least one of the following database systems: SQL, Tableau/Power BI, and/or SharePoint development
  • Proficient in at least one of the following: UFMS application, Momentum software or similar contract/financial management system Federal contracting
  • User helpdesk experience
  • Broad technical skills (SQL, SharePoint, Power BI, .Net)
  • Comfortable with Technology
  • Ability to communicate orally and in writing
  • Ability to plan and execute work independently
  • Team player, well organized, self-motivated, curious, hungry and quick learner

  • Ability to work collaboratively with contracting, financial management and relocation staff in; Resolving issues and developing resolution recommendations

Responsibilities
  • Monitor, Impact Assessment and DEA Implementation planning for external program and system development
  • Develop and Deploy System Training
  • Develop and Maintain System and Process documentation
  • Develop and Maintain User documentation
  • Hotline User Support
  • Develop and Maintain System Metrics & Dashboard Reports
  • Execute System/Data Audits
  • Release Management
  • Test version releases and upgrades
  • Execute system data pulls and data analysis/ data mining tasks and report
  • System Development: [a] Develop system Requirements, [b] Project Management and [c] System Pilot and [d] Implementation
  • Automate manual processes with applications including, but not limited to: SQL, SharePoint (SP2016 and 2019), SharePoint Designer (2013), SharePoint 365 [and Power-automate] – to be implemented late FY25, UFMS (Momentum), MS PowerBI
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with SharePoint 365 and Power Automate implementation planned for late FY25
  • Experience with UFMS Momentum or similar government financial management systems beyond basic proficiency
  • Experience in Release Management or test automation beyond basic testing
  • Onsite Arlington, VA location requirement not listed as desirable or required

James Vant appointed CEO of cybersecurity firm XLA

XLA, a cybersecurity and data management provider serving the US federal government, has appointed James Vant as chief executive officer. Vant previously served as president of eTelligent Group and held senior leadership roles at Octo, an IBM company, where he managed profit and loss responsibilities and led strategic integration efforts. The Vienna, Virginia-based company provides cybersecurity, data analytics, technical solutions and international programme support services to federal agencies. Founded over 30 years ago, XLA has supported missions including homeland security, disaster relief and cybersecurity incidents. Vant succeeds Gary Slack, who is retiring after a decade leading the company. Lloyd Mustin, XLA's chairman and founder, cited Vant's two decades of experience in government services and IT as key qualifications for driving the company's next growth phase.
