We are looking for passionate Clinical Laboratory Associates (CLA) to be responsible for assisting our day-to-day operations, providing equipment maintenance in the clinical laboratory, completing the pre-analytical phase of testing (e.g., specimen receipt, accessioning, and plasma/buffy coat isolation), performing quality assurance procedures, while complying with all local, state, and federal laboratory requirements. The Clinical Laboratory Associate (CLA) is an onsite position (Union City) and provides a great opportunity for career growth - at BillionToOne, we offer an array of career growth opportunities and a clear growth tracks supported by our performance reviews (every 6 months).

Shift Hours: Monday - Friday, 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM

Responsibilities:

Perform sample accessioning and isolation procedures according to the laboratory’s standard operating procedures;
Prepare documents for equipment and personnel records;
Perform and document routine maintenance of equipment;
Prepare other clinical documentation as required and assigned;
Clean labware, equipment, and benches;
Prepare reagents required for testing;
Write and review controlled documents as assigned

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in biology or clinical related sciences
At least 6 months of experience with molecular biology techniques in a research or clinical laboratory
Excellent attention to detail
Effective written and verbal communication skills
The ability to multitask and work independently
Previous clinical laboratory experience is preferred

Nice-To-Haves:

Start-up experience
Biophysics, Molecular biology (DNA purification, PCR, electrophoresis) or next-generation DNA sequencing laboratory experience
