POSITION SUMMARY:
The Health Insurance Associate position is a great place to start your career at HUB. The intention of this position is to provide a training ground and an understanding of the Medicare and Individual Health insurance industry: you will be supporting our experienced team of agents while building the skills needed to grow your career with HUB. While in this role, you will help expedite the sales process by assisting the Health Insurance Consultants with generating quotes, setting up appointments, making plan recommendations and completing client applications. No previous insurance experience is required, and we will provide on the job training and career coaching for all new associates. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assisting with client outreach, consultations, and follow-ups
- Supporting the preparation of quotes and plan recommendations for clients
- Helping clients through the application process and ensuring accuracy
- Maintaining client and prospect databases
- Shadowing senior representatives during virtual and in-person client meetings and Medicare seminars
- Collaborating with the team on new ideas and improvements to the sales process
- Learning about Medicare policies and keeping up with industry trends
- Assist the Operations team as needed during high-volume peak times
REQUIREMENTS:
- 4-year degree from an accredited University
- Minimum of 1-2 years of sales or account management experience
- Active Health and Life License or ability to acquire licensure within 90 days of employment is required
- Proficiency with relevant software, including Microsoft Office products and Customer Relationship Management platforms is highly preferred
- Strong interpersonal communication skills in both verbal and written communication
- Ability to work cross functionally with multiple teams across HUB
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Resourceful and innovative problem-solving skills
- High energy, positive attitude, and a determination to succeed
