The Opportunity at Komodo Health:
The Komodo Health Marketing Cloud Team offers advisory, implementation, and marketing operations services using Salesforce Marketing Cloud to help our Life Sciences clients engage digitally with healthcare providers (HCPs), patients, and consumers.
In this role, you’ll provide the technical expertise needed to deliver these solutions. You will be responsible for designing and architecting tailored solutions that meet client needs. As a subject matter expert in cloud technologies, marketing technology (martech), the Salesforce ecosystem, and consulting, you will focus on crafting scalable, creative, and high-quality solutions.
This is a client-facing role where you’ll lead the development process and collaborate internally to design user-friendly, scalable, flexible, and easy-to-maintain solutions. As a Salesforce Marketing Cloud Technical Architect, you’ll guide our developers, clients, and partners in building sophisticated technical solutions for Life Sciences customers.

- Became an expert in the suite of products offered by Komodo Health; Absorb new product and technical capabilities from Salesforce during new product releases and acquisitions
- Defined the Salesforce Org Strategy and Naming Conventions for the initiative
- Learned our deployment strategy, process, and tools and use it to deliver our solutions; Write and execute Installation Qualifications (IQs) when required
- Architected technical solutions, including Batch integrations, Real-time integrations, and Custom components
- Worked with integration developers to develop integrations which require middleware tools; coordinate the effort of up to 2-3 developers
- Troubleshooted Product/Platform issues and worked with the Mavens Komodo Health Product Team and SFDC in order to get them resolved

- Led technical design sessions with the client and identify gaps between client’s current and desired end states
- Configure/setup integrations with MDM, CRM, and Content Management Systems using existing product connectors
- Create technical design documentation
- Perform Code Reviews
- Research and investigate new technologies
What you bring to Komodo Health (required):
- Experience defining system architecture landscape, identifying gaps between current and desired end-states, and delivering a comprehensive technical design that will enable achievement of the desired business outcomes
- SFMC and CDP expert level understanding to lead in translating complex campaign requirements into an optimal campaign design that meets the clients business objectives and campaign strategy
- Strong understanding of environment management, release management, code versioning best practices, and deployment methodologies
- You have the ability to work on multiple projects at once and comfortable solving similar problems across our Customers
- Familiarity with Marketing/Data/Health/Experience Cloud and AppExchange solutions and other options for integrating with SFMC (middleware tools, APIs, etc.)
- Software development experience with ability to design scalable performance-driven solutions, design patterns and large data volume limitations and best practices, and data sharing and visibility considerations and how these play into platform architecture
- Hands-on development experience with AMPscript, HTML/CSS, SSJS, SQL, JavaScript
- Strong understanding modern MarTech design patterns and object-oriented programming principles
- You have experience in working with IT infrastructure teams and designing integrations including email, SMS, telephony, master data management, CRM, and content management systems
- Planning, communication and problem-solving skills is a must

Compensation at Komodo Health
The pay range for each job posting reflects a minimum and maximum range of pay that we reasonably expect to pay across all U.S. locations and may span more than one career level. We carefully consider multiple business-related factors when determining compensation, including job-related skills, work experience, geographic work location, relevant training and certifications, business needs and market demands.
The U.S. national starting annual base pay for this role is listed below. This position may be eligible for performance-based bonuses as determined in the Company’s sole discretion and in accordance with a written agreement or plan.
$132,000—$205,000 USD
Where You’ll Work
Komodo Health has a hybrid work model; we recognize the power of choice and importance of flexibility for the well-being of both our company and our individual Dragons. Roles may be completely remote based anywhere in the country listed, remote but based in a specific region, or local (commuting distance) to one of our hubs in San Francisco, New York City, or Chicago with remote work options.
