Requirements
  • 0–2 years of experience in construction safety, internships, or related field experience.
  • Basic knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Administration regulations and willingness to continue learning regulatory requirements.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with field personnel.
  • Detail-oriented with good organizational and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment.
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, reach, and work outdoors.
  • Ability to work around varying weather conditions, heavy equipment, and elevated noise levels.
  • Ability to perform administrative documentation and reporting tasks and occasionally sit, stand, stoop, and lift 5–20 pounds.
Responsibilities
  • Assist with the implementation of project-specific safety plans and company safety programs.
  • Conduct routine jobsite safety inspections and observations under the direction of senior safety staff.
  • Support daily safety activities including Job Hazard Analyses, toolbox talks, and orientation training.
  • Help track and maintain safety documentation, training records, and inspection reports.
  • Assist with incident, near-miss, and accident investigations, including documentation and follow-up actions.
  • Promote safe work practices by engaging with field crews, supervisors, and subcontractors.
  • Help ensure compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration regulations, project requirements, and company safety standards.
  • Participate in safety meetings and collaborate with project leadership to support a strong safety culture.
  • Serve as a safety resource on the jobsite with guidance from the Project Safety Manager.
Desired Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree in Safety Management, Occupational Safety & Health, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification, or the ability to obtain it upon hire.
