This position focuses on training, leading, coaching and motivating partners while also ensuring all operating policies and procedures are followed

The Distribution Supervisor focuses primarily on training, leading, coaching and motivating partners. A typical day includes the scheduling, organization and deployment of a workforce while managing productivity KPI’s to ensure all company, customer and governmental requirements and guidelines are met.

Our Distribution Supervisor will build a depth of knowledge and expertise within their facility and become a subject matter expert for that DC.

What you’ll do:
The Distribution Supervisor position has three main areas of focus: Leadership, Operational Management and Regulatory/Customer compliance.

• Train, coach, evaluate and reinforce all Process Excellence principles with partners
• Ensure daily scheduling, shipping and receiving plans are optimized to maximize efficiencies
• Manage crewing size and productivity rates via a Labor Management System, making necessary adjustments and shifting priorities as conditions change
• Administer various company, plant and/or department processes in certification programs, pay systems, assessment/feedback processes, etc.
• Ensure compliance with Food Safety and Food Quality Plans
• Interpret and communicate customer requirements to your team
• Encourage teamwork and compliance with Plant/DC policies and procedures
• Follow and enforce Good Manufacturing Practices and Housekeeping guidelines
• Follow and enforce all Company and Governmental safety guidelines
• Identify and resolve operational, mechanical/maintenance opportunities to maximize efficiencies at the lowest cost
• Assist with regulatory, customer, and internal audits
• Be knowledgeable of various government regulations that must be complied with, i.e., OSHA, USDA, FDA, EPA, EEOC, OFCCP, etc.
• Assist with decisions related to HACCP, product quality, HOLD & RELEASE, etc.
• Follow reaction plans for Food Safety, Food Quality and customer requirement deviations

What you’ll need to succeed:

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Ability/Openness to relocate in the future (desired but not required)
• 5+ years leadership experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
• Proficient PC skills in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Gain and maintain an understanding of all equipment and computer systems
• Willing and able to manage multiple priorities
• Goal oriented
