Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Accounting is required.
  • At least eight years of related experience is required.
  • A thorough understanding of general accounting standards and principles is required.
  • Expert understanding of design and/or construction accounting practices is required.
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite is required.
  • Technical strength in labor and cost planning and forecasting is required.
  • The ability to provide risk mitigation strategies to projects in a proactive and timely manner is required.
Responsibilities
  • Prepare project labor and expense plans.
  • Forecast using accounting and project management systems.
  • Provide risk mitigation by proactively monitoring labor and expenses for assigned projects and alerting management to known and unknown project risks.
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of cost control policy, including internal processes and procedures.
  • Communicate routinely with the cost control team, Project Director or Manager, and design or field staff while conveying and reinforcing cost-control processes and procedures.
