Requirements
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in residential construction or related trade(s) and photovoltaic installations
  • Proficient in the installation of roof penetrations, electrical circuits, solar modules, grid-tied and microinverter applications
  • Strong understanding of national electrical code, California building code, residential electrical and roofing systems
  • Ability to read construction drawings and electrical line diagrams
  • Excellent customer service skills in addition to solid verbal and written communication skills
  • Valid Driver’s license
  • Ability to travel between job sites
  • OSHA 30 certification
  • NFPA-70E Electrical Safety Certification
  • Fall protection certification
  • CPR certification
Responsibilities
  • Manage production of direct reports and hold FMs accountable for performance
  • Host weekly 1:1 meetings with direct reports
  • Manage, distribute, and delegate workload amongst direct reports as needed
  • Attend community pre-construction kickoff meetings to set expectations with builder superintendent on solar installation process and SunPower requirements
  • Identify any elements of the community construction that may need extra attention and work directly with FM, design and installation partner teams
  • Conduct multiple quality and safety audits each week
  • Work closely with SunPower management to train and performance manage IP’s to all SunPower related products and installation processes
  • Expert in both residential roofing and electrical systems
  • Testing and troubleshooting of new products related to photovoltaic systems; including roofing, monitoring and electrical components
  • Troubleshoot roof leaks, thermal events, equipment failures
  • Work interdepartmentally to resolve field issues and provide world-class customer service to both internal and external stakeholders
  • Use software tools available, in real-time, to enter data “updates” directly into Salesforce or provide information in a structured manner
