This is a remote role as long as you’re within our 6-state footprint: Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky or Wisconsin. Relocation assistance may be provided to those who prefer to relocate to Grand Rapids, MI.
Technical Engineer for Identity Governance and eDiscovery team will work with the team to develop eDiscovery and Identity Governance technical services and maintain roadmap to ensure a consistent and repeatable practice is in place. The person will also be responsible for researching the standards for identifying, preserving, collecting, processing, and producing Electronically Stored Information (ESI) in alignment with acceptable industry standards and requirements.

What You’ll Be Doing:
- Work with the team and business partners on work items related eDiscovery and Identity Governance
- Review current state, identify gaps in the process, and work with team to implement best practices and futuristic features
- Based on the direction from team, work on eDiscovery, Microsoft 365 administration, and/or identity governance related activities
- Communicate, coordinate, and partner with legal counsel, Information Technology, and various business partners related to litigation hold and eDiscovery requirements.
- Work with team to develop user training and technical documentation for both end users and legal department (internal and external counsel)
- Perform electronic collections per legal requirements.
- Continue to learn and grow with team as a subject matter expert in eDiscovery process and systems to deliver efficient eDiscovery services.
- Understand and work on data labeling, classifications, retention, and archival process
- Policy/governance for data classification in ServiceNow and Microsoft 365
- Evaluate software technologies based on e-discovery collection, processing, review and production requirements.
- Analyze business and user needs; document requirements and translate them into proper system requirements specifications.
- Consider the business implications of the application of technology to the current and future business environment.
What You Bring With You (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s or Master’s’ degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration or related disciplines or equivalent work experience and technical training is required.
- Certification or working knowledge related to One Identity Platform
- Working knowledge of Identity governance strategies and implementation of certification, attestation, and behavior based role provisioning
- Certified eDiscovery Specialist (CEDS), Microsoft Certified Security, compliance, and Identity Fundamentals (SC-900), Information Protection Administrator Associate (SC-400) or related certifications are plus.
- Experience with eDiscovery, collection, labeling, Digital Identity Governance, Attestation, Certification, RBAC, PowerShell scripting, and Microsoft 365 administration
- Policy/governance for data classification in ServiceNow and Microsoft 365
- Hands on experience with user objects, identities, roles, privileges, active directory, and Azure Entra ID
- Experience working on IT architecture, cloud storage, MS Exchange, file servers, SharePoint, etc.
- Working knowledge of Office 365 eDiscovery & Advanced eDiscovery and other related tools – Microsoft Purview, Zylab One or related
- Experience working with legal team with setting up the process for litigation hold, identifying the custodians, perform collection from various systems including file systems, Microsoft365, Exchange, OneDrive, mobile devices etc.
- Broad knowledge of IT Infrastructure to include storage, backup, retention, destruction, authentication, access controls, data management, mobile devices.
- Knowledge of various data storage methodologies, data collections, data processing and methods of electronic production
- Working knowledge in identifying, preserving, collecting, processing, and producing ESI in support of civil litigation.
- Possess strong organizational skills, Professional courage, and ability to pay close attention to detail.
