Requirements
  • Hold a valid Commercial Driver's License Class A.
  • Have a required Tanker endorsement (N).
  • Have a preferred Hazmat endorsement (H), or obtain it within 90 days of hire.
  • Have a preferred Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card, or obtain it after hire.
  • Have at least one year of verifiable tanker driving experience.
  • Be at least 23 years of age.
  • Maintain a clean motor vehicle record and strong safety record.
  • Pass a Department of Transportation physical, drug screening, and background check.
  • Be dependable, safety-minded, and capable of working independently.
  • Be willing to work flexible schedules, including 24/7 operations when needed.
  • Meet mileage or hour requirements to maintain a steady workload.
Responsibilities
  • Safely haul chemical and petroleum products using tank trailers while adhering to Department of Transportation regulations.
  • Ensure the truck meets all inspection standards and remains in suitable condition for long-haul operations.
  • Follow proper loading and unloading procedures for ISO, flexi-bag, or tanker operations at loading and delivery points.
  • Maintain accurate logs, submit required paperwork, and comply with hazardous materials regulations.
  • Represent Altom Transport professionally at customer locations.
  • Manage fuel purchases, trip planning, and scheduling to maximize revenue.
  • Be available for 24/7 operations when needed.
