Requirements
  • Familiarity with Missouri emergency medical services continuing education requirements and continuing education unit accreditation processes.
  • Working knowledge of Commission on Accreditation for Pre-Hospital Continuing Education standards, documentation, and compliance.
  • Ability to perform frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of objects weighing 0–25 pounds.
  • Ability to perform frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching, and repetitive foot, leg, hand, and arm movements.
  • Ability to use vision and depth perception for near and far distances and to identify and distinguish colors.
  • Ability to use hearing and speech to share information orally and hear alarms and malfunctioning machinery.
  • Ability to perform frequent keyboard use and data entry.
  • Ability to perform occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting, and gripping.
  • Ability to perform occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of objects weighing 25–50 pounds.
  • Ability to climb occasionally.
Responsibilities
  • Document and track program progress compared with goals.
  • Perform work assignments in support of the program.
  • Maintain relationships with community resources, referral sources, agencies, and associations pertaining to the program.
  • Assist in developing and implementing communication and program plans.
  • Coordinate meetings and maintain the event calendar.
  • Coordinate and train volunteer staff when needed.
  • Ensure the program operates within the scope of the grant.
  • Teach emergency medical services operations courses, including pediatric care, trauma systems, and emergency medical services education.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
