Requirements
  • An active Department of Defense-approved 8570 baseline certification at Information Assurance Technical Level II is required.
  • At least 5 years of experience providing Commercial Solutions for Classified support to Defense Information Systems Agency and Department of Defense stakeholders and serving as a Commercial Solutions for Classified integrator is required.
  • At least 3 years of Department of Defense or Defense Information Systems Agency experience supporting the architecting, engineering, integration, or operation of Commercial Solutions for Classified solutions is required.
  • At least 5 years of Department of Defense or Defense Information Systems Agency experience supporting the architecting, engineering, integration, or operation of complex networks using multiple vendors and incorporating routing, switching, firewall, and virtual private network solutions is required.
  • At least 5 years of Department of Defense or Defense Information Systems Agency experience supporting the architecting, engineering, integration, or operation of Microsoft server environments, including deployment and management of domain controllers, Active Directory, Domain Name System, System Center Configuration Manager, Windows Server Update Services, SQL servers, and certificate authorities is required.
  • At least 5 years of Department of Defense or Defense Information Systems Agency experience supporting the architecting, engineering, integration, or operation of virtual environments, including VMware vSphere, vCenter, Linux and Windows host operating systems, storage and backup solutions, and host application management is required.
  • At least one certification or degree is required in Cisco CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE; Juniper JNCIA, JNCIS, or JNCIP; Microsoft; Red Hat; VMware; cybersecurity; computer science; computer information systems; or network management or engineering.
  • An active Top Secret, final Top Secret, or Top Secret/SCI clearance is required.
  • The employee must live within commuting distance of the assigned hybrid work location.
Responsibilities
  • Support the integration of a future classified gateway modernization and establishment of a new outside-the-continental-United-States gateway.
  • Troubleshoot the Department of Defense mobility infrastructure, including mobile device management systems, gateways, security services, and specific mobile public key infrastructure solutions supporting a future Gray Network service.
  • Provide forecasts of new mobility products suitable for Department of Defense adoption as Commercial Solutions for Classified capabilities, recommendation briefings on whether the Government should pursue emerging products, and quarterly updates on contractor activity and market details.
  • Perform in-depth research, including whitepapers and briefings, on secure mobility and Commercial Solutions for Classified domains to improve operational capabilities and explore capabilities that could be integrated into the classified mobile portfolio.
  • Conduct feasibility studies on researched capabilities to assess leveraged technologies, interoperability with the electromagnetic-environment laboratory, and functional and security considerations for deployment.
  • Use research and feasibility-study results to develop a technology roadmap for continental-United-States modernization efforts and a new outside-the-continental-United-States gateway build-out.
  • Perform functional and empirical analysis for the planning, design, installation, and implementation of network infrastructure.
  • Maintain file servers and network devices, including restoration of hardware and software.
  • Anticipate and mitigate potential attacks through network or other connections to ensure system security.
  • Work with end users and vendors to resolve network hardware and software issues.
  • Develop and administer end-user training as needed to achieve efficient utilization of local-area and wide-area networks.
  • Review progress and evaluate results, working independently and interacting regularly with senior management.
  • Assist with coordinating test events with organizations such as the Department of Defense Chief Information Officer and the Director, Operational Test and Evaluation.
