Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering: Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing and Process disciplines
  • At least 6+ years of Manufacturing Engineering experience with process design, development, and improvement
  • At least 5 years' experience in medical Device Industry is a MUST
  • Must have prior experience directly supporting Medical Device Manufacturing (troubleshooting, safety improvements, operator training, process control plans, NCMR dispositions.)
  • Proficient with MS Office and basic statistics
  • Experience creating sketches, CAD drawings
Responsibilities
  • Develops new and enhances production processes at any stage of production from pilot to full-scale manufacturing
  • Leads process characterization and improvement activities
  • Designs and qualifies tooling, fixtures, and equipment
  • Compiles and evaluates test data
  • Coordinates design requirement review
  • Identify and drive production capacity improvements
  • Creates manufacturing documentation
  • Creates and standardizes training programs for production operators
  • Leads PFMEA activities
  • Conceives and plans projects involving definition and selection of new concepts
  • Leads and coordinates activities of technicians
  • Contributes to developing partnerships with new suppliers
  • Familiar with Lean manufacturing principles
