Requirements
  • Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a PhD (or Master’s to PhD track) in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field of study.
  • Have an understanding of web technologies (HTTP, browsers, etc.).
  • Experienced with specific ML techniques like clustering, anomaly detection, or classification in previous projects or coursework.
  • Experienced working with large datasets (using Python or relevant languages).
  • Familiar with SQL and database interaction.
  • Comfortable working through new problems for the first time that may not have an obvious or precise answer.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
Responsibilities
  • Dive into large datasets containing diverse device attributes to identify patterns, anomalies, and potential signals for fingerprinting.
  • Apply various machine-learning techniques to build and test models for device identification and grouping. Evaluate model performance using appropriate metrics.
  • Research new techniques and data sources relevant to device fingerprinting and prototype potential solutions.
  • Work alongside data scientists, engineers, and product managers to understand requirements, share findings, and integrate solutions.
  • Clearly document your methodologies, analyses, and results. Present findings to the team and potentially wider audiences.
