- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- Three years of hospital or physician office scheduling experience is required.
- Excellent problem-solving skills are required.
- Proficiency in medical terminology and operating room operations is required.
- Obtain accurate patient scheduling information for SFH operating rooms through telephone, fax, and computer communication with physician offices.
- Ensure all managed care requirements are met at the time of scheduling and obtain pre-certifications before admissions or procedures.
- Obtain, complete, and follow up on all pertinent information required to schedule patients.
- A bachelor's degree is preferred.
