Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent, such as a General Educational Development credential, and at least two years of financial experience with knowledge of GreenState accounts and products, or related communication-center or financial-institution experience are required.
  • Sales ability and interpersonal skills are required to represent the credit union positively during member contact.
  • Accuracy in handling member transactions and inquiries is required.
  • The candidate must have strong sales aptitude and be able to approach individuals, engage in conversation, and win business.
  • The candidate must be able to prioritize and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • The candidate must be driven to meet department and individual sales goals.
  • The candidate must be able to operate related telephone and computer systems.
  • Excellent communication skills through phone and web channels are required.
  • The candidate must be bondable.
  • Knowledge of consumer loan and deposit policies and procedures is required.
  • The candidate must be able to develop and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers.
  • The candidate must be registered pursuant to the requirements of the Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing Act.

Responsibilities
  • The position acquires, expands, and enriches member relationships while providing exceptional service through web and phone communication channels.
  • The position serves as the primary representative for opening, interviewing, and counseling applicants for loan and deposit products.
  • The position answers incoming telephone calls and assists members with their needs.
  • The position opens all types of share accounts.
  • The position opens all types of consumer loans through phone and incoming web applications.
  • The position educates members about financial choices by understanding their needs and recommending appropriate financial products and services, with consistent follow-through.
  • The position interviews members and potential members for credit union products and makes appropriate recommendations to underwriters.
  • The position makes outbound sales calls to existing and potential members.
  • The position services and promotes all credit union products and services.
  • The position meets expected service levels for member wait time and accuracy.
  • The position keeps abreast of credit union product and procedure changes.
  • The position maintains thorough knowledge of federal regulations and procedures concerning deposit and loan regulations.
  • The position participates annually in community service organizations or credit-union-sponsored events.
  • The position adheres to credit union service standards, core values, mission, and vision.
  • The position demonstrates positive internal and external member service, including promptly greeting members and guests, acknowledging them, and thanking them for their business.
  • The position demonstrates teamwork in interactions with coworkers and completing duties.
  • The position ensures confidentiality of member information.
  • The position supports a diverse and inclusive work environment.
  • The position performs other duties required to meet credit union objectives.
