Requirements
  • Completed an advanced formal education program.
  • Must be licensed as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner in the State of Washington.
  • Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be detail oriented, organized, able to multitask, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to learn new computer applications and use them in the work environment.
  • Must be able to consider individual patient needs when communicating with and assessing and treating patients of all ages.
  • Experience with Outlook, Kronos, Replicon, Imagecast, Stentor, IDXterm, Flowcast, Allscripts, and web portals is highly desired for computer work.
  • Must pass the background checks required to work with children under 16, developmentally disabled persons, or vulnerable adults, and must not be included on the Department of Health and Human Services Office of Inspector General exclusion list.
  • Eligible employees must pass a post-offer, pre-employment drug test.
Responsibilities
  • Work full time Monday through Friday, rotating through Sacred Heart and Holy Family locations with no call.
  • Administer high-quality patient care and obtain high-quality radiological exams independently or under the direct or indirect supervision of a radiologist according to established guidelines and protocols.
  • Perform diagnostic and interventional radiology duties.
  • Work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced environment while meeting continual deadlines and handling multiple priorities in busy clinics and hospitals.
  • Interact with radiologists, other departments, patients, family members, and outside contacts.
  • Make decisions regarding daily work priorities and other decisions based on company policies and procedures.
  • Work hours as directed by the section leader and administration, including possible days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Provide primary care to inpatient and occasionally outpatient patients.
  • Perform consultations, histories and physicals, order diagnostic tests, provide or prescribe medications and treatments, and arrange follow-up care for multiple disease states.
  • Perform hospital admissions, discharges, daily rounds, and triage of patient and hospital personnel phone calls.
  • Coordinate care with the attending or primary care physician and interventional radiologist as patient condition requires.
  • Act as liaison with referring physicians for neurointerventional and interventional oncology patients when the interventional radiologist is absent.
  • Perform simple diagnostic studies or procedures as time allows.
  • Treat all patients with dignity and respect, provide customer service, follow Joint Commission and HIPAA regulations, and protect protected health information.
  • Understand and support the organization's mission, values, and goals.
