Responsibilities
  • Product design of wearable medical devices through the entire new product introduction process
  • Generate concepts of new products incorporating a broad range of disciplines, materials, and processes
  • Model and create drawings of complex plastic injected molded parts and full product assemblies
  • Prototype hardware to support preproduction activities
  • Support packaging and labeling
  • Create and release drawing packages
  • Support verification and validation protocols, testing, and report generation
  • Participate in cross functional collaborations with other teams
  • Direct suppliers and contract manufacturers
  • Support sustaining engineering
  • Contribute to regulatory submissions
  • Contribute to the generation of intellectual property
  • Contribute to research activities
  • Support supplier selection and qualification
  • Develop or approve test methods and protocols
  • Generate design risk analysis
  • Provide technical support analyzing and/or performing failure analysis for discrepant production components, assemblies and field returns
