Requirements
  • Knowledge or previous practical experience of the sport of rowing is required.
  • Level II National Coaching Certification Program certification or equivalent is required.
  • Prior coaching experience at an elite or competitive level is required.
  • Willingness to accept flexible working hours, including early mornings and/or weekends, depending on the season.
  • Selected candidates must successfully pass a criminal background check.
  • A high school diploma and two years of related experience are required.
Responsibilities
  • Maintain and distribute team equipment, including boats and oars.
  • Prepare practice and training equipment before start times.
  • Record activities and track statistics during competitions and performances.
  • Analyze data to identify trends in race, team, and student-athlete activity and competency during and after regattas, and prepare reports for the head coach.
  • Support coaching staff in implementing practice and race strategies.
  • Assist with the delivery of the 2026 CURA's at the Olympic Basin.
  • Assist with additional administrative tasks as required.
Desired Qualifications
  • CPR and First Aid certifications are highly recommended.
  • Bilingual ability in English and French is required.
  • A strong desire and dedication to the development of student-athletes is expected.
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, organizational, evaluation, planning, and team-oriented skills are expected.
