Requirements
  • At least 10 years of experience managing a Department of Defense Windows enterprise environment, leading technical operations, and authoring process documentation.
  • Hands-on experience administering Nutanix hyperconverged infrastructure environments and/or Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops deployments, along with general enterprise virtualization and virtual desktop infrastructure ecosystems.
  • Advanced experience managing Microsoft Group Policy Objects, software and patch management with Windows Server Update Services, Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager or System Center Configuration Manager, SQL Server Always On availability groups, and air-gapped enterprise licensing.
  • Experience deploying Defense Information Systems Agency Security Technical Implementation Guides, hardening Windows 10 and Windows 11 endpoints, and managing Public Key Infrastructure certificates.
  • Experience engineering desktop deployment solutions, including selecting and installing peripherals and keyboard-video-mouse devices, supporting C4IT facility procurement, and handling and lifting up to 50 pounds of hardware.
  • Strong understanding of the Open Systems Interconnection model, routing and switching, packet analysis using Wireshark and tcpdump, mainstream load balancers such as F5 and NetScaler, and Global Server Load Balancing.
  • Ability to research and translate vendor white papers and industry best practices into scalable system designs, with strong technical communication skills.
  • Active Department of Defense 8570 Information Assurance Technical Level II certification, such as Security+ CE or CCNA Security, and a professional-level virtual desktop infrastructure administration certification.
  • U.S. citizenship and a U.S. government security clearance at the Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information level.
Responsibilities
  • Support system administration for United States Space Command mission systems, including laboratory environments and operational sites.
  • Assist engineering teams during software integration, testing, PITCO, SOVT, and installation events.
  • Provide troubleshooting and technical support for hardware and software discrepancies identified during or after installation.
  • Support secure system configurations, cybersecurity compliance, and Risk Management Framework-aligned hardening activities.
  • Assist with activities for United States Space Command’s transition to Red Stone Arsenal.
  • Participate in technical meetings with NIWC Pacific, United States Space Command, original equipment manufacturers, and contracting partners.
Desired Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience, and experience supporting high-tempo operational Department of Defense environments such as combatant commands, Joint Operations Centers, or Service Branch enterprise networks.
  • Experience administering Amazon Web Services environments and deploying Microsoft 365 solutions.
  • Experience managing Department of Defense Host Based Security System, configuring Axway Tumbleweed and Online Certificate Status Protocol solutions, and managing cross-domain solutions such as Everfox Trusted Thin Client.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell automation, advanced DNS and DHCP configurations using Infoblox or Windows Failover Cluster, and managing Service Principal Names.
