EDEM 671 Role of the Leader
Explores the roles, expectations and skills related to the task of the educational leader and the implications for school climate and effectiveness.

Master teacher with an MA in a relevant field (ie. educational leadership or school administration) and/or extensive relevant experience

Experience:
1.Expert knowledge of:
Educational leadership in contemporary educational settings including but not limited to elementary and high schools and alternative schools in a Quebec and/or Canadian context
Wide range of different theories of educational leadership
2.Previous successful experience teaching similar course(s) at the graduate level
3.Experience as a school administrator, institutional leader and/or teacher/instructor in the Quebec educational system
Other:
Knowledge of the impact and proven record integrating pedagogical approaches anchored to equity, diversity and inclusion
Familiarity using myCourses, ZOOM and other similar online platforms to facilitate quality teaching and learning experiences

The course lecturer will be required to prepare and deliver teaching material suited to a remote/online teaching environment using a virtual learning platform [e.g., Zoom, WebEx] and the McGill MyCourses learning management system.
