We are looking for an experienced Engineering Team Manager to join our Acuity Scheduling team. As a full-service scheduling platform, Acuity provides powerful tools like calendar integration, invoices and payments, client bookings, reminders, intake forms, classes, and customer loyalty programs. Our mission is to help businesses who rely on appointments do more of what they enjoy and less of what they don’t.
As the leader of a team composed of front-end, back-end and full-stack engineers, you will be empowered to independently and cooperatively drive solutions that deliver incredible outcomes. You will collaborate with product and design to establish roadmaps and priorities, while also aligning your work with the senior leadership team to guide the success of the organization, and support your team along the way.
You will report to the Engineering Manager, Acuity Scheduling and will be full-time remote or located in our New York office.

- Define the strategy for your team, together with your counterparts, to prioritize your work and drive results.
- You’ll be in charge of the execution of your team, all the way from discovery to planning to delivery.
- Provide performance feedback, have one-on-ones with your team, and guard the careers of your direct reports.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with other teams throughout Acuity and Squarespace to ensure top-notch quality.
Who We’re Looking For
- 2+ years of prior engineering management experience
- 5+ years of hands-on coding experience as a senior or staff-level engineer
- You have experience managing and mentoring an engineering team.
- You get satisfaction from growing people and promoting career development.
- Experience with Agile (Kanban or Scrum) methodologies
- Experience assisting design of scalable, durable, and modular software systems
- You prioritize impact and outcomes over output.
- You bias toward shipping practical milestones and improving them iteratively.

Cash Compensation Range: $130,000 - $276,500 USD
The base salary for this position will vary based on job-related criteria including relevant skills, qualifications, experience, and location, among other factors.
In addition to the cash compensation above (which includes base salary and, where applicable for eligible roles, may include on-target commissions or overtime pay), all Squarespace employees are eligible to receive equity in the company as part of their total compensation.
