Requirements
  • Bachelor's in Engineering: BS in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Engineering Mechanics, Aeronautical Engineering; Computer Science or Information Technology
  • 5+ years of work experience in a related field (outside of internship and co-op)
  • Ability to investigate and root cause complex electrical issues utilizing common electrical test equipment (multi-meter, scopes, etc.)
  • In-depth knowledge of communication networks, including but not limited to CAN, LIN, and Ethernet
  • Experience with common serial data test equipment and programs (NeoVI (Vehicle Spy), CANoe/CANalyzer, DPS Tool, etc.)
  • Experience and understanding with vehicle electrical architecture, automotive electrical systems and functional sub-systems
  • Demonstrated leadership, organizational agility, collaborative spirit and interpersonal skills to influence effectively across all levels of a large organization
  • Exceptional communication and documentation skills, with a high level of interpersonal skill to work effectively with people in other functions and regions
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to plan, prioritize work and execute the plan to meet business objectives on time with quality
Responsibilities
  • Leads and performs bench-level CG4076 Design Integration Testing (DIT) of software releases prior to vehicle builds and rides in order to identify and resolve significant software integration issues. (Coordinates with Bench Lead Engineers, Controls Managers, Manufacturing, Validation, and DRE's)
  • Provide full system integration support to full electrical system benches to include flash programming, integration, root cause and troubleshooting support for software issues constraining the property.
  • Participate in escalation and collaboration discussions (as required) and provide feedback to management teams on all issues that impact software or timing.
  • Contribute/lead initiatives to drive quality while increasing throughput through automation.
  • Support/Conduct Readiness Testing with Assembly Verification team.
  • Provide technical guidance to the team during issue identification and triage
  • Support pre-production data file readiness and software assessment and create pre-production Software and Calibrations documentation.
  • Support pre-production and production build activities and vehicle ride trips when requested.
  • Monitor End of Line Test results during vehicle launch and assist in investigation of issues.
  • Support root-cause effort for problem resolution to component level
  • Plans and implements test and/or development programs
  • Communicates, coordinates, and consults with engineering departments and customers
  • Stays abreast of new technology and competitive products
  • Minimal travel as needs arise.
