  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sports Management, or related field
  • 3+ years of sales, licensing, or account management experience (collegiate or sports industry preferred)
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding revenue targets

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of college/university clients and musicians/festivals
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for our decoration partner by managing all communication related to purchase orders, mechanicals, packaging and delivery dates
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with athletic directors, marketing managers, bookstore buyers, licensing departments, and retail partners
  • Act as a trusted advisor, ensuring client needs are understood and met
  • Identify and execute opportunities to increase licensing revenue within existing accounts and new business
  • Drive upselling and cross-selling opportunities across product categories
  • Ensure client engagement through consistent communication and performance reviews
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve and exceed revenue targets
  • Present and sell in product assortments to retail buyers
  • Work directly with product and planning teams to identify blank assortments and commitments bi-annually
  • Deliver compelling, tailored presentations to university partners and prospective clients
  • Prospect, qualify, and secure new college and university licensing partnerships while considering wholesale distribution as well as growing the DTC business with licensed product
  • Build a strong pipeline of potential clients through research, outreach, and networking
  • Leverage industry relationships to open new growth opportunities
  • Support brand awareness in this space through tradeshows, activations and pop-ups
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and consumer purchasing behavior
  • Use insights to refine sales strategies and identify new business and product strategy
  • Lead negotiations for new and renewal licensing agreements, pricing, and terms
  • Prepare regular reports on sales performance, account status, and revenue pipeline
  • Provide strategic recommendations to senior leadership based on account activity and business opportunities
  • Provide weekly updates on production status and purchase order flows
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and on-campus meetings
  • Network with key stakeholders to strengthen brand presence in the collegiate licensing community

Faherty, a surf-inspired fashion brand founded by twins Alex and Mike Faherty in 2013, has grown into a nine-figure business in just over a decade. The brothers turned their childhood dream into reality by combining Alex's finance background with Mike's design expertise from nearly 10 years at Ralph Lauren. The venture became a family affair, with their mother Ninie Faherty designing most stores and initially running the warehouse, whilst Alex's wife Kerry Docherty serves as chief impact officer. The company now employs around 130 corporate staff and over 600 retail employees. Faherty opened its first flagship in Malibu and launched its first international store in Biarritz, France, in March. The brand focuses on classic American heritage style infused with modern comfort elements.

Biarritz is located in the Basque Country, with a vibrant, seaside-focused community known for its beaches and historic resorts. The city is also well-served by major transportation hubs, offering a strategic setting for Faherty's first international store to bring its "laid-back American coastal style to more customers and communities around the world." "I first heard about Biarritz in 1994, watching Endless Summer II on repeat," said Mike Faherty, chief creative officer and co-founder of Faherty. "Surfing in France wasn't even on my radar then, but the vibe of the Basque coast and the feeling of French summer stuck with me, and I promised myself I'd get there one day." Twenty-three years later, he said he finally did, with his now wife, who had been spending her summers there. "From the moment you arrive, there's a slower pace to life, a warmth and sense of peace, baked in Basque, and a deep respect for the earth, the ocean and tradition," Faherty continued.
