Requirements
  • Part qualified Accountant or person with equivalent experience with a fundamental understanding of what it takes to operate within a multi-country RTR environment in a multi-national corporation
  • Experience in a global finance function of a multi-location, multinational corporation
  • Proficiency with Microsoft tools (Excel, Outlook, and Word) is required

Responsibilities
  • Preparation of bank reconciliation statements on a frequent and timely basis
  • Responsible for the timely and accurate preparation of journal entries (with appropriate supporting documentation) for the month end close and accounting transactions
  • Maintains and reconciles balance sheet ledger accounts and facilitates the timely resolution of reconciling items
  • Frequent interaction with peers, outside customers and functional group members at various management levels
  • Interaction will require the ability to gain cooperation of others, conducting presentations or providing technical information concerning specific projects
  • Implements and maintains accounting systems, policies and procedures including compliance with worldwide Controller’s manual
  • Development of strong relationships with key stakeholders, in particular with market finance teams across EMEA, APAC and US
  • Contribution to the definition and maintenance of key performance indicators (KPIs) and the establishment of a continuous improvement culture
  • Interacts successfully with internal and external auditors and supports quarter-end, interim and year-end audits by providing timely Intercompany updates and accurate data and communication
  • Evaluates processes and recommends and implements process improvements to standardised intercompany
  • Helps develop, maintain and assess internal controls related to Gilead’s accounting and financial reporting systems
  • Interacts successfully with non-financial personnel as well as with internal and external auditors
  • Champions the Global Financial Services philosophy for Finance
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - the ability to work effectively across multiple functions and different cultures

Gilead raises 2026 outlook on HIV and PrEP strength, targets $30B in sales

Gilead Sciences reported second-quarter 2026 results that exceeded expectations, with revenues of $7.8 billion, up 10% year over year, and a non-GAAP loss per share of $6.75 beating consensus estimates.
