This role is onsite and will be based in Houston, TX
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement current and updated methodologies for fluid dynamics to further improve accuracy and confidence in simulations.
- Implement watertight geometry from SolidWorks and/or Rhino.
- Implement code in CFD solver for complex models.
- Utilize Multiphysics solutions when applicable.
- Develop proper testing practices to verify and validate simulation results.
- Work with existing hardware teams to ensure tests are beneficial and parallel to the analyses.
- Team oriented work to choose ideal tools for verifying results, and making crucial decisions to drive the project in the right direction.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- 10+ years’ experience in an engineering field utilizing CFD to support various design improvements, or a combined equivalent education and experience
- Proven proficiency in 3D Computational Fluid Dynamics
- Knowledge in existing CFD software (Ansys Fluent, CFX, STAR CCM+, etc..)
- Experience in dealing with complex fluid systems (turbomachinery, pumps, low pressure environments, etc.)
- Experience in creating/optimizing CFD code to further develop solutions
- Experience with interfacing High Performance Computing sources
- Preferred experience with other operating systems, programing language (Linux, Bash, Python, etc)
- Ability to identify and provide insight to issues within design
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task on projects
- Ability to thrive in a fast developing environment and produce timely results
- Ability to demonstrate strong attention to detail

Work Environment: Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on the task.

- Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.
