Responsibilities
  • Executive Support and Coordination: Serve as a liaison between executives and department heads, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Organize and oversee meeting logistics, including creating presentations, preparing materials, and summarizing meeting outcomes.
  • Executive Calendar Management: Managing the complex schedules of the CEO and other C-suite members.
  • Scheduling meetings, appointments, and conference calls, and ensuring that all commitments are organized efficiently.
  • Travel Arrangements: Handling all aspects of travel arrangements for the executives, including booking flights, hotels, transportation, and preparing detailed itineraries.
  • Managing travel expenses and reimbursements.
  • Strategic Planning and Project Management: Collaborate with senior leadership to define, prioritize, and execute strategic initiatives.
  • Track and manage key projects to ensure alignment with organizational goals, timelines, and budget requirements.
  • Provide regular updates to executives on project progress, risks, and key metrics.
  • Communication Management: Managing the executives' email accounts, screening incoming emails, drafting responses, and ensuring that urgent matters are promptly addressed.
  • Handling other forms of correspondence as necessary.
  • Document Preparation and Review: Assisting with the preparation, editing, and formatting of various documents such as presentations, reports, memos, and proposals.
  • Ensuring accuracy and adherence to company standards.
  • Communication and Representation: Act as a representative of the executive team in internal and external communications.
  • Draft communications, announcements, and reports on behalf of leadership.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, promoting a culture of open communication and teamwork.
  • Special Projects and Ad-Hoc Support: Take the lead on ad-hoc initiatives as assigned by the executive team, often involving high-level research, analysis, and reporting.
  • Provide administrative support on various special projects, including board meetings, company events, and high-priority deadlines.
  • Office Management: Overseeing general office operations and administrative tasks, such as ordering supplies, managing office equipment, coordinating office maintenance, and other duties to ensure a smooth-running office environment.
Desired Qualifications
  • Six or more years of executive administrative assistant experience required supporting the Executive Level
  • Bachelor's Degree Preferred
  • Location: Ability to be located in Lombard, Illinois or the greater Chicagoland area or the Cincinnati metropolitan area is listed as a requirement; however this is not a desirable qualification per se, it is a logistical constraint.

Transdev introduces buses with two wheelchair spaces across north England. As part of its investment in more inclusive travel, Transdev is introducing buses across the north of England that feature two wheelchair spaces as standard, with Harrogate already operating the first of these vehicles in Yorkshire. Working with students and staff at Henshaws Specialist College in North Yorkshire, the operator explored how having two wheelchair spaces on buses can make a meaningful difference to confidence, independence, and everyday journeys. Henshaws Specialist College in North Yorkshire supports thousands of people living with a range of disabilities to prepare for employment, make friends, or learn to live more independently Advertisement | Continue story below Henshaws students Georgia, age 20, Lucy, age 26, and Elle, age 20, say being in a wheelchair means that they have unique requirements when using public transport, such as the need for dedicated wheelchair spaces and access ramps. "International Wheelchair Day is important because people need to know more about wheelchairs," said Georgia, with Elle adding that such days "raise awareness about wheelchairs and the lives of wheelchair users." One challenge that students and support staff experience is that sometimes, they are unable to travel together because of a lack of available transport options that can accommodate two wheelchairs at the same time, says Transdev. This also includes when a student in a wheelchair attempts to board a bus, only to find that the sole wheelchair space is already being used, meaning that support staff have to find alternative travel arrangements. The Harrogate Bus Company states that it was the first transport operator in Yorkshire to introduce vehicles that include two wheelchair spaces, and as of March 2026, the vast majority of buses within the fleet feature two wheelchair spaces as standard. As the students boarded one of these two-space buses at Henshaws Specialist College, they were delighted to learn that they were able to travel together on the same vehicle. "It is good because you can travel with a friend who also uses a wheelchair," said one of the students, with another adding: "It's important that wheelchair users can access the community easily, and having an extra space means you and a friend can travel on the same bus together with two wheelchairs." A member of the support staff also commented that having two wheelchair spaces gives both the students and colleagues at the college more confidence to use the buses. Each Harrogate Bus Company vehicle has a built-in wheelchair ramp, wheelchair-facing stop announcement screens, hearing loops for customers who require hearing aids, and audio next-stop announcements. Transdev's bus drivers are trained by industry experts on situational awareness, best practices, and how to safely operate the wheelchair access ramp. As part of their CPC Training (Certificate of Professional Competence), Transdev drivers also experience the challenges associated with manoeuvring a wheelchair onto a bus firsthand, through an active roleplay scenario. Including those operated by sister companies across Yorkshire and Lancashire, Transdev will be running a grand total of 70 vehicles that feature two wheelchair spaces by Spring 2026. Transdev also provides free bus passes for Henshaws students and support staff, for the purpose of travel independence training and accessing the local community.
