Requirements
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or five years of related experience is preferred.
  • Experience in a manufacturing and/or quality environment is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of quality tools and methodologies, including root cause analysis, corrective actions, statistical process control, and inspection methods is required.
Responsibilities
  • Generate quality and continuous improvement initiatives to improve manufacturing processes, product quality, and operational efficiency.
  • Develop, maintain, and improve quality standards and testing systems for efficiency, reliability, and performance.
  • Investigate, document, and resolve production and quality issues, including root cause analysis and corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Support a safe work environment and follow safety policies and procedures.
  • Serve as an Advanced Product Quality Planning team member and support the development and maintenance of Control Plans, Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis, Process Flow Diagrams, Floor Layouts, Capability Studies, Gage Repeatability and Reproducibility, Statistical Process Control, International Material Data System records, and Dimensional Layouts.
  • Implement and maintain quality systems and procedures to ensure conformity, consistency, compliance, and accuracy in the production process.
  • Develop, maintain, and update First Article Inspections and associated quality documentation.
  • Develop and implement inspection methods and testing procedures to evaluate product quality and conformance.
  • Ensure products adhere to company and industry quality standards as well as customer specifications and requirements.
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and relevant teams and departments to evaluate and improve product quality and manufacturing processes.
  • Lead or support root cause analysis and corrective actions to resolve identified issues and prevent recurrence.
  • Identify opportunities and recommend process or product improvements.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve product quality, efficiency, and overall manufacturing performance.
  • Document inspection results, findings, nonconformances, and corrective actions in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Manage equipment safety, performance, and measurement system effectiveness related to product quality and inspection activities.
  • Complete related projects as assigned.
