Requirements
  • A valid driver's license and an insurable driving record are required.
  • Maintain working knowledge of parts inventory.
  • Complete the Service Advisor New Team Member Training within the first 90 days of employment.
  • Work efficiently with the computer system.
  • Read, write, and perform mathematical skills.
  • Adapt to change when required.
  • Demonstrate communication skills.
  • Work a flexible schedule, including weekends and evenings as needed.
  • Have reliable transportation and a phone.
  • Communicate in English, if applicable.
  • Work cooperatively with other team members.
  • Lift or move up to 50 pounds occasionally and frequently stand, walk, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear; occasionally sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
Responsibilities
  • Greet customers promptly and provide customer service.
  • Coordinate the service center's scheduling and workflow.
  • Write service orders, including creating estimates and work orders, finalizing payments, following cash-handling policies, ordering parts, and collecting payment for all jobs.
  • Answer customer questions about service outcomes and consult with technicians as needed.
  • Apply marketing and sales strategies to finalize transactions.
  • Consult with technicians about needed repairs and communicate those needs to customers.
  • Increase knowledge of products and services to understand industry needs.
  • Communicate customer needs to technicians and technician information to customers.
  • Keep all customer-facing items clean, stocked, and up to date.
  • Receive merchandise, stock showroom products, and update pricing.
  • Maintain a complete understanding of the Boss Shop Warranty process.
  • Assign work to technicians within company guidelines.
  • Follow company safety policies and procedures.
  • Report to work on time when scheduled.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned.
