BS in Computer Science or a related discipline
10+ years of experience in DevOps experience in a production environment
Experience leading and providing technical direction for DevOps or Build & Release team(s) in a production environment
Proven experience in developing CI/CD automation workflows in GitHub or Jenkins from scratch
Experience in scripting with Python/Bash
Solid experience in managing version control tools like GitHub or similar
Experience in Git, versioning, branching and release delivery
Package management, specifically Debian and Python wheel
Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure, provisioning and cross cloud resource management and SDLC process
Experience in security incident management and security vulnerabilities and security scan tools like Fortify or similar
Experience with Ubuntu/Linux based image creation and hardening process
Experience with Packer a plus
Provisioning Cloud infrastructure as code through Terraform
Experience with 3rd party licensing issues a plus
Experience with containerization technologies like ECS or EKS to manage workloads a plus
Excellent communication skills

Responsibilities

Provide technical direction and mentorship to a small team of DevOps Engineers
Implement automation, effective monitoring, and infrastructure-as-code (IaC)
Develop, deploy, maintain, and extend our CI/CD pipelines
Collaborate, support and work alongside a cross-functional engineering team on the latest technologies
Implement best practices to increase the quality, reliability and velocity of development
Sustain and improve the process of knowledge sharing throughout the engineering team

 ABOUT THE ROLE: Staff DevOps Engineer

As a Staff DevOps Engineer, you will lead a small talented engineering team in a fast-paced, growing startup. You will play a critical role in this endeavor to help us develop key infrastructure enabling development to deliver faster and with high quality. This team is key to the future success of the company and will have high visibility and the tools this team delivers will be key to the future success and growth of the organization. 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Provide technical direction and mentorship to a small team of DevOps Engineers
Implement automation, effective monitoring, and infrastructure-as-code (IaC)

US Pay Range

The US annual base salary range for this full-time position is $185,000 - $235,000 + benefits + 401(k) match + equity. The pay range is determined by the role, work location, job-related skills, level, experience and relevant education. [Certain roles are eligible to earn sales commission, depending on the terms of the applicable plan.] The range displayed is the minimum and maximum target base salary and is applicable only for new hires for the listed position located in the US.
